Elephant Ears Illustris - aka colocasia antiquorum

Elephant Ears Illustris

Colocasia antiquorum 'Illustris", also called 'Imperial Taro' is a black-leaved elephant ear with striking vibrant emerald green veins. Proliferates in moist soil but will also thrive in regular garden soil. Plant in light shade for deeper black coloring. Prefers sun to partial shade.

Elephant Ear varieties are hardy in zones 7-10 as
perennials and suitable in zones 4-6 as annuals.
They are popular as annuals due to their rapid
growth - colocasia makes a dramatic impact to the
landscape within just one season.

Each case contains a color poster and each plant will have a color tag.
